Eagles' Jason Kelce 'Can't Wait' to Ask Kellen Moore About Embarrassing Cowboys Play Call

The final play of Kellen Moore's tenure as offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys has been scrutinized enough, but Philadelphia Eagles' star Jason Kelce needs more info on the reason for the play selection.

Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce doesn't want fans to forget about the comical show the Dallas Cowboys put forth in the 2023 playoffs.

Even if it means shedding light on his new offensive coordinator.

It's only been a week since Kellen Moore was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles to be the offensive coordinator. While he hasn't met with some of the key members of the unit, Kelce, the eldest statesman of the room wants to see the reason behind one of the former Dallas' Cowboy offensive coordinator's more humiliating play-calls.

The call in question comes on the final play of a game just a year prior in the Cowboys' 19-12 divisional-round loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Having Elliott, in what ended up being his final play as a member of the Star, play center, and get promptly blasted as soon as the ball is snapped, is one of just many questions that someone like Kelce wants answered.

On the recent episode of the New Heights podcast made it clear that he wanted answers on that final play from his current offensive coordinator.

"Everyone wants to bring up the play," Kelce stated. "That creativity didn't work on that play...I still want to know what was going to happen. I can't wait to find out."

Despite the jokes that have come at Moore's expense, the future Hall-of-Fame center made things clear that he was excited to see some fresh blood coming to the Eagles offense in 2024.

"There were a lot of people, and looking back ourselves, that realized we could have been more creative offensively. Kellen will bring more of that. He's been one of the best offensive minds in the game."

Moore will look to try and improve an Eagles offense that was among the worst in turnovers given up and slipped up down the stretch to the point that first-year offensive coordinator Brian Johnson was relieved of duties.

If things go better than his final play in Dallas, Philadelphia's offense could be in for a better season in 2024.
