Philadelphia Eagles running back D'Andre Swift is coming off the best game of his young career in Week 2's win over the Minnesota Vikings.

But now? Former Eagles defensive end Chris Long is calling Swift the ‘coolest’ Eagle ever.

“D’Andre Swift is the coolest looking Eagle of all time,” Long said on the Green Light podcast. “That fucking number zero, that visor. Doesn’t hurt that you’re running through holes big enough to drive a Datsun through. It’s incredible, he looked great. The high whites, the whole thing, he aced the test when it came to fashion on Thursday night.”

Swift recorded a career-high 175 rushing yards and one touchdown in a 34-28 win at home against the Minnesota Vikings last Thursday. He was the team’s bell-cow back, carrying the ball 28 times and catching three passes.

The Eagles acquired Swift in a trade with the Detroit Lions during the 2023 NFL Draft. They traded a 2025 fourth round pick to the Lions and swapped 2023 seventh round picks for the 24-year old running back.

In three years with Detroit, he rushed for a total of 1,680 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also caught 156 passes for 1,198 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Lions drafted Swift in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, attending St. Joseph’s Prep where he played high school football.

Long is a former Eagle that spent the last two seasons of his career with the team. He was an instrumental piece on the 2017 Eagles team that won Super Bowl LII.

Philadelphia and Swift will be back in action when they head on the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 25 at 7:15 p.m. for Monday Night Football.
