Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay teased wide receiver A.J. Brown about his lack of touchdowns before Sunday's 34-31 overtime over the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field.

“My boy A.J. finally sees the end zone," Slay said on his Big Play Slay podcast. "I been on his behind every day telling him ‘I’m one up on you because I got in the end zone before him, I got more touchdowns than him in three games.' I was just bragging in his face. I’m trying to tell y’all he told me this week, ‘Slay you gonna see me in the end zone a lot this week.' So I'm saying I need to see it now because you score touchdowns.”

Slay had a touchdown in the Eagles season opener against the New England Patriots when he intercepted a pass from quarterback Mac Jones and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown. This marked Philly's first touchdown of the season.

Through three weeks, Brown had not caught a single touchdown pass despite having a strong performance in Week 3. But against the Commanders, he caught nine passes on 13 targets for 175 yards and two touchdowns, surpassing Slay's total on the season.

Last season, Brown caught a team high 11 touchdowns in his first year with the Eagles. He was the teams leading receiver, turning 88 catches into 1,496 receiving yards.

In four seasons with Philadelphia, Slay has recorded four defensive touchdowns, with three coming in 2021.

The Eagles will try to move to 5-0 on Sunday when they hit the road to play the Los Angeles Rams at 4:05 p.m. inside SoFi Stadium.
