The Philadelphia Eagles are banged up heading to the Wild Card Playoff matchup Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

All-Pro wide receiver AJ Brown (knee) and safety Reed Blankenship (groin) did not practice Wednesday as Philadelphia took to the field in preparation for their sixth Monday night contest of the season.

Brown suffered a knee injury in Philadelphia's 27-10 loss to the New York Giants to end the 2023-24 regular season. While the MRI did not show a torn ACL, the top receiver is in danger of missing Monday's contest.

Likewise for the Eagles' top safety. Blankenship suffered a groin injury last week. Add Sydney Brown's torn ACL suffered against the Giants and the Birds could be without two of their starting safeties against the likes of Pro Bowl receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts was also a limited participant in practice due to the dislocated middle finger injury he suffered against New York.

"I told you guys it’s a day-by-day thing,” Hurts said to reporters Thursday.

There was some good news on the injury front, though, for Philadelphia.

D'Andre Swift (illness), DeVonta Smith (ankle), and Darius Slay (knee) all returned as full participants in practice. Smith and Slay said that they both will play Monday night against Tampa Bay.
