Eagles' Jalen Hurts, Nick Sirianni Best QB-Coach Duo?
Historically speaking, it’s nearly impossible to win a Super Bowl without having elite talent at quarterback and head coach.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had a breakout campaign last season when he led the Eagles to an appearance in Super Bowl LVII. He threw for 304 yards and a touchdown, and set the record for most rushing yards (70) and rushing touchdowns (three) by a quarterback in Super Bowl history.
Together, Hurts and coach Nick Sirianni have two playoff wins and are on the hunt for more.

But Sports Illustrated poses the question: Does Philadelphia have the best young duo?
"Of all the young tandems on the list, Philadelphia’s has the highest upside," SI writes. "Hurts is an All-Pro who was fantastic in the Super Bowl despite the loss, while Sirianni has shown he can handle the room and design an offense. The only question is how much the turnover of both coordinators impacts the team. Look for the Eagles to make many serious runs at a ring with these two in charge."
SI ranked the Eagles tandem as No. 7 collectively; a combination of Hurt's No. 3 ranking and Sirianni at No. 13.
Unsurprisingly, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid topped the poll as the league's best duo, as the only combo to have won two Super Bowls together.
With Hurts and Sirianni's experience and talent, the NFC champions will look to make another run at the Super Bowl this season.
Last season, Hurts' 18 rushing touchdowns represent the most by a quarterback in a single season in NFL history. He hopes to keep it going with an exciting roster and a very healthy attitude after an offseason of changes.
Meanwhile, Sirianni enters his third season as head coach of the Eagles with a combined 23-11 record, which marks the most wins by any coach in their first two years with the franchise.
The NFC East has not had a repeat winner since 2005. This is the longest active streak among divisions in the NFL as well as the longest in league history. The Eagles have the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl this season but will have to avoid the The "Super Bowl Hangover." Only eight teams have ever lost the Super Bowl and then made it back the following year.
