Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts spoke about his relationship with NBA legend Michael Jordan after signing with Jordan brand.

Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts signed with Jordan on Monday, becoming the third quarterback to partner with the brand.

"It's an honor to be a part of that family and to be able to rep that," Hurts told CBS Sports. "I've been in touch with him and he's a great person, a great mentor, and very helpful."

He joins Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young as the only other signal-callers to currently be partnered with the brand.

Hurts repped the brand for all of last season, wearing Jordan cleats in each of the Eagles games including two pairs in Super Bowl LVII.

"It takes a special type of athlete to be a part of the Jordan Brand, so we’re thrilled to welcome Jalen to the family,” Jordan Brand president Sarah Mensah told Andscape

Hurts is coming off of a season where he accumulated 4,461 total yards and 35 total touchdowns and led the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance.

He isn't the first Philadelphia quarterback to be signed to Jordan Brand. Former Eagles star Donovan McNabb signed with the company in 2001.

McNabb played for the Eagles for 11 of his 13 NFL seasons and is currently the all-time leader in passing touchdowns for Philadelphia with 216.

When he attended Oklahoma for his last collegiate football season, Hurts wore Jordan then too as the school was endorsed by Jordan Brand.

The details of the length of the contract Hurts' earnings have not yet been released. The deal that Prescott signed in 2021 was for five years.
