Eagles QB Jalen Hurts No. 1 in June Jersey Sales: Full List
Expect to see a lot more Jalen Hurts jerseys at Lincoln Financial Field for Philadelphia Eagles games this fall.
It’s always a mixed bag at the stadium on game day, with several different players represented from the past and present. Brian Dawkins is probably the most popular of any from today and yesterday.
But Hurts could surpass the Hall of Fame safety in terms of jersey popularity. The quarterback’s jersey has already passed his contemporaries in terms of sales for the month of June. It was his jersey that was the top seller for that month, per the NFL.
To many, that isn’t a surprise, especially to teammate and tight end Dallas Goedert, who said earlier this week on “Pardon My Take,” that Hurts is the top quarterback in the league.
"I'm from Philadelphia, he's No. 1,” the Eagles tight end said. “…you can say he has good talent around him - No, he's a dawg. He's really good, I think he should be top three, top two.
“It's hard to take anything away from Patrick (Mahomes). And you go down that list and there (are) probably 10 quarterbacks that could be in the top five, depending on what fanbase you are. Personally speaking, Jalen is in the top two, and he's not two.”
Hurts’ jersey sales were even more popular than Aaron Rodgers’ New York Jets jersey. It’s Rodgers’ first season in the Big Apple, so that is somewhat surprising since it’s a new look for one of the game’s all-time greats.
Mahomes’ jersey was fourth, despite being named the regular season and Super Bowl LVII MVP, with Hurts finishing as runner-up both times.
In between Hurts and Rodgers was Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons in third.
Rounding out the rest of the sales were all quarterbacks, except for No. 10, which was San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey.
The quarterbacks were the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen fifth, the Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow sixth, the Chicago Bears’ Justin Fields seventh, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tom Brady eighth, and ninth, Carolina Panthers rookie Bryce Young.
