The past two NFC champions are meeting at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, but it wasn't the team that ended off its conference-winning season with a Super Bowl win that led headed into halftime.

After a 22-yard touchdown grab from rookie sensation Puka Nacua, the Los Angeles Rams seemed like they'd be leading the Philadelphia Eagles at halftime. But Eagles receiver A.J. Brown made a highlight-reel, one-handed 38-yard catch that set Philly up for an eventual one-yard run from quarterback Jalen Hurts as time expired in the second quarter to give the Eagles a 17-14 lead at halftime.

Hurts finished the half 16 of 23 passing for 152 yards and one touchdown while Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford went 12 of 17 passing for 147 yards and two scores.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said that tight end Dallas Goedert needed to get the ball more. He did that and then some on the game's opening drive, as he had four catches for a season-high 45 yards and a touchdown to help put Philly in front 7-0 early.

But Rams star receiver Cooper Kupp, who's making his season debut on Sunday, had his own impressive start. He had five catches for 57 yards on L.A.'s first drive, which ended with a three-yard touchdown catch from receiver Tutu Atwell.

With the game tied at 7-7 after one possession apiece, the two sides then traded punts on the next two drives.

After Philly picked up the stop, Hurts led a 15-play, 56-yard drive that was looking like it'd end in another touchdown, but receiver Quez Watkins was unable to convert on the short 3rd and 3 try. The Eagles settled for a 34-yard field goal from kicker Jake Elliott to take a 10-7 lead.

The Eagles might wish that they hadn't settled, as the Rams drove 75 yards in six plays before Stafford found Nacua for the aforementioned 22-yard touchdown to give L.A. a 14-10 lead with 32 second remaining.

Regardless, it's a one-score game at the half. The Rams will receive the second-half kickoff.
