Do Eagles Have Enough Picks in 2023 NFL Draft?

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman will look to revamp the reigning NFC champions' roster in the 2023 NFL draft.
In this story:

The Philadelphia Eagles currently have six selections in this year's NFL draft.

However, more than that will be needed as  they must replace key players departed in free agency. Such as defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, running back Miles Sanders, linebackers TJ Edwards and Kyzir White, safeties C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Marcus Epps, and offensive guard Isaac Seumalo. General manager Howie Roseman will look to replace these players, but it will be a tall task.

Here's a look at every Eagles selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Round 1, Pick 10: The Eagles will have the 10th overall pick in the first round. The Eagles acquired this pick last season from the New Orleans Saints

Round 1, Pick 30: By finishing 14-3 last season, the Eagles earned the 30th pick in.the first round.

Round 2, Pick 62: The Eagles will have the 31st overall pick in the second round.

Round 3, Pick 94: The Eagles will have the 31st overall pick in the third round.

Round 7, Pick 219: The Eagles will have the second overall pick in the seventh round. The Eagles received this pick when they shipped wide receiver Jalen Reagor to the Minnesota Vikings.

Round 7, Pick 248: The Eagles will have the 31st overall pick in the seventh round.

The most glaring part about the Eagles' current draft selections is that the team does not have a pick from round four through six. And as Hall of Fame executive Bill Polian once said, “Rounds 1-3 are the easy picks to make. Rounds 4-7 are the picks that make Super Bowl champions.”

It's essential for Roseman to acquire more picks in this year's draft to replace the plethora of talent that the team lost in free agency. Roseman especially needs to work on getting picks in the middle rounds, or the team will be looking at too many holes entering the 2023 season.
