The Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers now know when they'll be meeting for a regular-season rematch of last year's NFC Championship.

With the 2023 NFL schedule set to be revealed on Thursday, details for the Eagles vs. 49ers matchup for next season was part of the handful of early releases on Wednesday. We now know that Philly will host San Francisco at Lincoln Financial Field for a Week 13 battle on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 4:25 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on FOX.

The Eagles' official Twitter account put it rather simply: "You'd be crazy to miss this one."

The Eagles will look to prove that last season's win in the NFC title game was no fluke. Philly stomped the Niners 31-7 in a most unusual game that saw San Francisco lose starting rookie quarterback Brock Purdy to a first-half elbow injury. His backup and veteran journeyman Josh Johnson stepped in only to suffer a concussion and exit the game for good as well. The Niners offense failed to get anything going after this, as the Eagles cruised.

The 49ers had tied the game at 7-7 midway through the second quarter, but would go scoreless in the second half while the Eagles scored 24 unanswered.

The craziness of that game and the stage on which it occurred will likely never happen again. Still, the Week 13 matchup between these two NFC foes should prove to be a good one.
