Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts set a NFL record in the first half of Monday's Christmas Day meeting with the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.

In the second quarter, he ended a drought that's evident of how inconsistent the Eagles offense has been during the three-game losing streak.

With a 36-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith, Hurts gave the Eagles a 17-3 lead over their division rival, but he also ended a notable streak. He had gone two full games without a touchdown pass in losses to the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks.

Hurts’ last TD pass was Week 13 on Dec. 3 with 5:33 to play in fourth quarter vs. the San Francisco Niners.

Take a look at the score:

After the loss to Seattle, Smith admitted there were "frustrations everywhere." He seems to have relieved some of that frustration with a Christmas Day touchdown.

"I don’t even know what to tell you, honestly," Smith said via The Philadelphia Inquirer. "I don’t even know. The frustrations are everywhere. It’s everything."

Smith finished that game with five receptions for 50 yards while A.J. Brown was Philadelphia's leading receiver with five receptions and 56 yards.
