After being sacked five times in the first half and failing to get much of anything going downfield, Hurts brought the Eagles within one score on a 10-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter.

Take a look:

Hurts shed his knee sleeve earlier in the week, and clearly didn't look bothered on the touchdown run, which marked his eighth rushing score of the season. He's been hobbled a bit by the bone bruise in his knee, but hasn't missed a game because of it.

“I was not,” was what Hurts said when asked if he was wearing his knee sleeve.

“I think it is a sign of progress. Like I said, the bye week came at a great time. We all took advantage of that or tried to take advantage of that time, and everything is trending forward. ... The bye couldn’t have come at a better time, and I think a lot of guys on the team took advantage of that time to refresh and get ready for this second half of the year, so I think it’s been good for us all,” said Hurts.

Hurts now has four rushing touchdowns in the last seven quarters against the Chiefs dating back to February's 38-35 Super Bowl loss. He'll need to lead the offense to another score in the fourth quarter in order to top Kansas City and move the Eagles to 9-1.
