When Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts faces off against Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Week 11, whoever wins the game could go on to decide who wins NFL's Most Valuable Player this season.

According to FanDuel, Mahomes currently has the best odds to win MVP at +270, but he isn't the favorite by much. Jalen Hurts sits at +300 to win the award, just barely in second behind Mahomes.

The Chiefs quarterback has already won two MVP's to go along with two Super Bowl MVP's in the five years that he has been a starter. Now in his sixth season, he is in a position to add another trophy to his rapidly growing collection.

Last season, Mahomes won the MVP after posting 5,608 total yards, 45 total touchdowns and 12 interceptions while Hurts finished second in MVP voting after recording 4,461 total yards, 35 total touchdowns and just six interceptions. Hurts' candidacy was damaged by him missing two games towards the end of the season due to an injury.

While Hurts has already thrown for more interceptions this season (eight) than he did during the entirety of last year, he has still been playing at an MVP level. Heading into the bye week, he had tallied 2,663 total yards and 22 total touchdowns on his way to an 8-1 record, the best in the NFL.

The winner of the Super Bowl LVII rematch will likely be the MVP favorite going forward with the head-to-head win in his back pocket. If Hurts and the Eagles can manage an upset win in Kansas City, he could be on the track for his first career MVP.

The game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday Night Football on Nov. 20 at 8:15 p.m.
