Is Randy 'Mossed'? Hall of Famer Predicts Odd Super Bowl Opponent vs. Eagles

Despite a dramatic Week 1 turn of events, Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss is sticking with his Super Bowl prediction pairing the Philadelphia Eagles against the ... New York Jets?
In this story:

As a Hall-of-Fame receiver, Randy Moss regularly made highlight-film catches. And during a couple of years as a screaming analyst on ESPN's NFL Monday Night Countdown, he customarily made outlandish statements.

But this week, we've got to wonder if it's Randy that is "Moss'd"?

Speaking to NFL Network's Rich Eisen just before playing a round of golf, Moss was asked about his picks for Super Bowl LVIII. He went with the Philadelphia Eagles. Nothing crazy there. Philly wasn't perfect in escaping Foxboro last Sunday with a 25-20 victory, but nothing to set off alarms about it not being on track for another postseason run.

Eagles - Randy Moss

It's the opponent Moss is sticking with that makes us wonder what he's been doing with all his free time now that he's been removed from his prime-time TV gig. Because he's apparently the only person in America unaffected by Aaron Rodgers' season-ending Achilles suffered last Monday.

"I had the Eagles and the Jets," Moss said when Eisen asked for his Super Bowl pick. "And I'm going to stick to my guns. I'm not gonna jump ship.

"Zach (Wilson) has been in the NFL long enough ... he's had an offseason under Aaron. It won't look like it would've with Aaron Rodgers, but he can still go in and lead the team and put them in a position to win like he did the other night."

Pretty sure most Eagles fans hope Moss is correct, because Philly would be huge favorite over a Jets squad led into the Super Bowl by Wilson.

Moss' original team - the Minnesota Vikings, armed with another decent receiver in Justin Jefferson - invade Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Eagles tonight on Thursday Night Football.
