TE Rankings: Where Does Eagles' Dallas Goedert Land?
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has firmly established himself among the most dynamic talents at his position.
Throughout five seasons, Goedert has elevated his status to be mentioned alongside superstars such as Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, and George Kittle.
In a recently published article by CBS Sports, ranking the top ten tight ends in the league, Goedert secured the fourth spot on the list.
"Goedert has continued to be an impactful player within Philadelphia's offense and caught 79.7 percent of his targets last season (a career-high)," CBS Sports writes. "That number increased to 88.9 percent in the playoffs en route to a Super Bowl appearance. Eagles quarterbacks also had a 123.6 passer rating when targeting Goedert in the 12 games he suited up for in the regular season."
During the 2022 season, Goedert showcased his abilities by tallying 55 receptions for 702 yards and three touchdowns across 12 games. His impressive average of 58.5 yards per game projected him to reach a total of 995 receiving yards had he not missed time due to injury
Goedert's production becomes even more impressive when considering that he plays in an offense alongside elite receivers, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, both of whom surpassed 1,100 receiving yards last season.
As the Eagles aim to rebound after their Super Bowl LVII defeat of 38-35 against the Kansas City Chiefs, the performance of Goedert will be vital. The team will heavily depend on Goedert to replicate his impressive 2022 season and play a critical role in their quest for a championship title.
