Eagles 'All-In' Trade Idea: Raiders RB Josh Jacobs 'Seamless' Fit

The Philadelphia Eagles have been named as a "seamless" landing spot for Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs.

With the NFL season approaching, there is a cloud of uncertainty surrounding the situation of Josh Jacobs, the Pro Bowl running back for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jacobs opted not to join the team's offseason program and was absent during minicamp, citing ongoing contract negotiations with Las Vegas after being designated with the franchise tag. In a recent interview with Fox 5 News, Jacobs stated his intention to continue his holdout and revealed his plans not to attend training camp.

The Raiders have not clarified whether they will move on from Jacobs yet. However, if they do, CBS Sports has named the Philadelphia Eagles as the top landing spot for the 25-year-old running back whether that be through signing or a trade. Though knowing Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, Philly would be almost certain to make a trade for Jacobs on a contract year instead of signing him to a new massive deal. That's of course is there's actually any interest on that front.

"Since Miles Sanders is now a Carolina Panther, Jacobs would be a seamless addition inside an Eagles offense that put up 35 points in the Super Bowl," CBS Sports wrote. "The defending champion Philadelphia Eagles don't "need" anyone at this stage in the offseason, but coming up just three points short in the Super Bowl could cause general manager Howie Roseman to go all-in."

After losing Sanders this offseason, the Eagles attempted to fill his shoes by adding D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny. However, both running backs have struggled to stay healthy for an entire season. In contrast, Jacobs has demonstrated his ability to handle a full workload, as evidenced by his impressive performance last season. He ranked second in the NFL with 340 carries and led the league with 1,538 rushing yards.

As the Eagles aim to return to the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year, Jacobs could be the missing piece that propels Philadelphia to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in the upcoming season. His future with the team after fulfilling such goals would be uncertain. But the Eagles should certainly try to have an "all-in" season, something that would be evident by the potential acquisition of Jacobs.
