Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys Week 9: How to Watch, Betting Odds
The Philadelphia Eagles welcome the Dallas Cowboys to Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday for a game to help decide NFC East supremacy. Dallas has won its last two and three of four, with the only two hiccups of the season coming at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisc 49ers.
Philadelphia has just one failure on its schedule this season, curiously to the New York Jets, but showed signs of weakness against the Washington Commanders in Week 8. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been hobbled by a bone bruise in his knee to the point that he's been seen wearing a brace.
But even with Hurts "hurting" (pun intended), Philly still boasts one of the most dangerous players in the league with receiver A.J. Brown.
Brown had one of the greatest touchdown catches of the season against Washington last week, a one-handed circus grab that helped secure the come-from-behind victory for the Eagles.
“His contested catches jump off the chart,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said. “He has an excellent catch radius, obviously has a great understanding and connection with the quarterback. If I was going to highlight one thing about him, I’d say it’s his ability to make the contested catch.”
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has found somewhat of a hot streak since the loss to the 49ers. In two games since, Prescott has thrown two touchdowns while running for an additional one and tossed just one interception while throwing for 576 yards.
A win for either team would make a statement to the other about where things are headed for the NFC East.
