Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Rams: How to Watch, Betting Odds
The Philadelphia Eagles travel west to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday for a matchup at SoFi Stadium. The Eagles have made their mark on the NFL early in the season and remain unbeaten, while the Rams have been inconsistent at best with wins over the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts bookending losses to the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals.
The Eagles have left another mark on the league with their signature "tush push" short-yardage play. In fact, Philly is so good at it, that there's been talk the league may ban it. And while it's been copied by several teams - including the Rams - no one has been successful at duplicating it.
The Rams attempted it in Week 1 against the Seahawks.
“We tried it,” McVay said. "It didn’t look very good. That’s why we had to go for it on 4th andm1. We tried it on second down. It looked nothing like Philly’s. We've got some other things maybe we’ll try.”
That's just one of the many things the Rams will need to worry about on Sunday against the Eagles. Philly is 4-0 for the second straight season, but not all is peaches and cream. The Eagles have struggled on defense at times, especially with the No. 27-ranked passing defense.
For the Rams, the offense lies in the hands of quarterback Matthew Stafford and rookie wideout Puka Nacua. The two have combined for 501 yards on 39 catches with one touchdown through four games. But L.A. is set to get back star receiver Cooper Kupp on Sunday, which presents more problems for an ailing Eagles secondary.
