The Philadelphia Eagles have exacted their regular-season revenge over their NFC East rival Washington Commanders.

In a thrilling finish that came down to the final second of regulation on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles used a game-winning 54-yard field goal from Jake Elliott to top the Commanders, 34-31, and remain undefeated at 4-0.

Philadelphia got a go-ahead 28-yard touchdown on a pass from Jalen Hurts to star receiver A.J. Brown with 1:43 left to take a 31-24 lead, but the Commanders kept hopes alive. Washington quarterback Sam Howell led a clutch drive that ended with a last-second second 10-yard touchdown to Jahan Dotson with no time left in regulation to send the game to overtime.

Once in overtime, the Eagles stopped Washington with a quick three-and-out after losing the coin toss and then methodically got into range for Elliott, who hit the winner with 3:58 left in overtime.

The Eagles played a bit sluggishly in the first half on both ends and trailed 17-10 headed into the locker room. This was highlighted by a bad break on defense, as running back Brian Robinson Jr. fumbled right at the goal line, but had his miscue recovered by Terry McLaurin for a touchdown to give Washington a 14-7 lead

In the second half, a 59-yard catch-and-run touchdown from Brown midway through the third quarter gave the Eagles their first lead at 21-17 and helped spark the offense.

This was a sign of more things to come from Brown, who finished the day with nine catches for 175 yards and two scores.

The Commanders responded to Brown's first touchdown by tying things up at 24-24 in the fourth quarter with a 15-yard rushing score from second-year running back Brian Robinson Jr.

But throughout all the back-and-forth, the Eagles prevailed and remain undefeated. They'll take on the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Week 5.
