Philadelphia Eagles WATCH: A.J. Brown Catches TD From Jalen Hurts vs. Buffalo Bills
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts found receiver A.J. Brown for a three-yard touchdown in the third quarter of Sunday's tilt against the Buffalo Bills, cutting the deficit facing the defending NFC Champions to just three points.
The Hurts touchdown pass to Brown capped off a six-play, 62-yard drive where the Eagles leaned heavily on running back D'Andre Swift. The major gain on the drive for the Eagles came on the first play, when Swift rushed for 36 yards. Swift ran for 45 yards on five carries on the drive.
Take a look:
This drive was a positive development for Hurts and the Philadelphia offense, as the quarterback completed five of 13 pass attempts for just 33 yards with both an interception and a lost fumble across their first eight (really, seven) drives.
Meanwhile, quarterback Josh Allen has flashed his tremendous talent in the Week 12 contest, but Buffalo has missed two field goals and perhaps failed to step on the throats of the Eagles when they had the chance.
After defeating the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs last week, the Eagles are 9-1 and looking to become the first NFL team with 10 wins this season. If they defeat the Bills, the Eagles will also be the first team in the sport to clinch a postseason spot.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Sets NFL Record with Rushing TD vs. Bills
Meanwhile, the 6-5 Bills entered the day as one of the first teams out of the postseason picture in the loaded AFC. Coach Sean McDermott -- once the defensive coordinator for the Eagles under Andy Reid -- seemingly has a warm seat as the Bills have disappointed thus far in 2023.
