Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni might be rethinking his decision of not resting key starters in what could prove to be a meaningless game against the New York Giants on Sunday, though the Washington Commanders could have some say in that.

In the first quarter, Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown exited back to the locker room after suffering what the team is calling a knee injury. He is questionable to return.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted shortly a positive update on the status of Brown's ACL.

"Based on the initial exam, it appears the ACL is intact," Rapoport tweeted.

Brown was able to walk off the field and into the Eagles' medical tent after taking a hard hit while making a catch in the open field.

The Eagles are already without receiver DeVonta Smith, who injured his ankle in last week's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. If Brown is unable to play in the Eagles' Wild Card game next week, Philly could potentially be without its two top receivers if Smith's ankle remains an issue.

Headed into Sunday, Brown had posted 105 catches for 1,447 yards and seven touchdowns. Ideally, he could return to the game and add to that regular-season total, but it doesn't appear worth it for him to give it a go with the playoffs ahead.
