Taylor Swift 'Not Invited' to Kansas City Chiefs 'Monday Night Football' at Philadelphia Eagles?
The NFL is riding the coattails - well, more accurately, riding the blue-jean short-shorts - of Taylor Swift. But even though there is a "Swiftie'' movement of sorts in the Philadelphia Eagles locker room, there is also a "de-invitation'' being sent from that room in the direction of the superstar recording artist.
"Do not come to the game!'' said Eagles cornerback Darius Slay, referring to the Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles that looms on next month's schedule.

Hey, that seems rude. After all, Ms. Swift is dating Travis Kelce of the Chiefs. (Oh, hadn't you heard?) And Kelce's brother Jason is a foundational player in Philly, so it's kind of all in the family there. And Ms. Swift has the right to buy a ticket to a game, right? (Though even though she reportedly earns $100 million annually, we assume the NFL - benefitting enormously in sales and marketing by her sudden interest in the gridiron - doesn't actually make her pay for her ticket.)
The NFL has propped up Swift as she's attended the last two Chiefs games. She witnessed a 41-10 blowout over the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead, sitting with the Kelces' mom in a suite, before going to New Jersey, where Kansas City managed a 23-20 win over the New York Jets while Swift sat with all the Chiefs wives and girlfriends.
And of course, just as the NFL is parading her around, she's carrying the NFL around, too. Football fans are now Swifties. And Swifties are now football fans. So what's Slay's problem with the likely setup for the Week 11 Monday Night Football showdown on Nov. 20?
"Do not come to the game, 'cause it seems like you bring the energy of winning," Slay said, all in a playful way. "So do not come to that game."
