Law enforcement officials believe the woman was trying to climb over the iron gate early on Saturday morning.

According to multiple reports, the belief is the woman got impaled through the leg and according to one account "was (stuck) dangling on a fence for as long as five hours before she was found and removed.''

Police said that the woman, who had serious wounds on both of her legs and feet, was finally pronounced dead shortly before 9 a.m. ET on Saturday morning.

Police say they do not believe that foul play was involved in the death.
