PHILADELPHIA - Wrestlemania XL was locked into Philadelphia and Lincoln Financial Field long before Jason Kelce donned a Lucha Libre mask to help brother Travis celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV championship.

The WWE, long known for its ability to tap into cultural phenomenon, was surely watching, however, and that's how they got the popular Kelce, along with Lane Johnson, involved in Wrestlemania Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

Kelce, the six-time All-Pro who retired in March, was joined by four-time All-Pro right tackle Johnson under hoods to help WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and Andrade top Mysterio’s unpopular son Dominik and Santos Escobar.

Kelce and Johnson hopped the rail under green masks before Kelce rammed Dominik Mysterio into the ring post before throwing the younger Mysterio back in the ring where he was easy pickings.

As Rey and Andre celebrated with the rest of the LWO – Latino World Order – Kelce and Johnson removed their masks to the delight of the 65,000-plus in the crowd. Kelce and Johnson then removed their shirts to another pop.

Kelce was the one to do most of the physicality because he no longer has to worry about staying completely healthy for the upcoming 2024 season. Johnson is a big wrestling fan and a friend of WWE legend “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
