The Atlanta Falcons were the subject of much frustration from fans, gamblers, and even fantasy football managers. Aside from fans, fantasy football managers were among the most angry with how the Falcons' season went. It wasn’t because they finished with a 7-10 record for the third straight season. Instead, they were upset with the production of their star playmakers or, rather, lack thereof.

Despite having many first-round picks on offense, the Falcons, under coach and play-caller Arthur Smith, were constantly scrutinized for failing to consistently keep their top play-makers involved. This made hiring new coach Raheem Morris, and his offensive coordinator Zac Robinson welcomed news for fantasy players.

However, according to Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot, the fantasy managers shouldn’t get too excited.

"The fantasy guys may still be disappointed because you don't know who is going to have those special days,” Fontenot said in a recent interview with Kevin Clark of the “This is Football” show produced by Omaha Productions. “It’s not going to be every week for Bijan or every week for this guy because when that offense is rolling, you don't know who is going to be the featured guy. We believe that with Zac Robinson and this offense, we’re going to be able to keep people off balance.”

While Robinson will look to keep defenses “off-balance” with his mix of run and pass, it will be up to newly signed quarterback Kirk Cousins to distribute the ball to his play-makers. One of those is former first-round receiver Drake London.

Despite London’s first two seasons in the league being mired by inconsistent quarterback play, he set records with his production. London set the Falcons' franchise record for most receptions by a receiver in their first two seasons with 141, surpassing the previous record-holder, Julio Jones, and those behind him, Calvin Ridley and Mark Pritchard.

Meanwhile, Cousins’ new tight end, Kyle Pitts, will be looking to re-establish himself as a top receiver within the Falcons offense. After bursting onto the scene in his rookie year, totaling over 1,000 yards receiving, the former first-round pick has recorded 1,023 yards and five touchdowns in the two seasons since.

Then there is Bijan Robinson, who will be looking to build on his rookie season, where he rushed for 976 yards and four touchdowns on 214 carries.
