Aaron Rodgers' Jets Trade Elijah Moore, Sign Chiefs Mecole Hardman

The Atlanta Falcons are still in need of another veteran wide receiver. But Kansas City Chiefs wideout Mecole Hardman won't be the answer.
In this story:

Aaron Rodgers gets what he wants. So he must've wanted Kansas City Chiefs wideout Mecole Hardman, who we've speculated could've been the answer for the home-state Atlanta Falcons ...

But Mecole is moving to the New York Jets via free agency.

The Falcons still will rely on the growth of QB Desmond Ridder, but they also want to grow their pass-catching weaponry. Drake London and Kyle Pitts are a fine start. The signing of Mack Hollins helps.

But now Hardman gives the Jets - who are planning to make the complicated trade with the Green Bay Packers for the always-disgruntled Rodgers - an a deep threat who possesses elite speed to get over the top of the defense.

Since being drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Hardman, a native of Bowman, has racked up 2,088 yards and 16 touchdowns on 151 receptions in 57 games with the Chiefs. And now he'll rack up some more in the Big Apple.

And he will get a chance in part because in the next breath the Jets traded away top receiver Elijah Moore to the Browns (sending a third-round selection in exchange for second-round pick) …

Because Aaron Rodgers gets what he wants.
