Falcons Stars Bijan Robinson & Michael Vick Team Up Before Super Bowl

Falcons star Bijan Robinson and Michael Vick teamed up for a football game, and the team was even more unstoppable than you'd imagine.
In this story:

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson lost the NFL’s Rookie of the Year Trophy, but in a celebrity flag football game last night ahead of the Super Bowl, he may have deepened his connection with the city more than ever.

Playing in the NFL’s celebrity flag football game on team 21 Savage, Robinson won the game while playing alongside fellow Falcons legend Michael Vick.

Team Metro Boomin faced off against Team 21 Savage in a game filled with top athletes, influencers, and music artists.

A post by rapper J.I.D. revealed that his team comprised of himself, Vick, Robinson, rapper 21 Savage, Tobe Nwigwe, comedy influencer Druski, content creator Duke Dennis, and music video producer Cole Bennett emerged victorious from the game after a steller stat line from the former college football player including two touchdown catches.

Robinson playing with Vick alongside a star-studded roster including rappers represents just how much he's engrained himself in Falcons' lore by embracing the city's hip-hop roots. Mercedes Benz Stadium still echoes Outkast music at every home game and uses Vick to promote the Falcons.

Although Robinson may not have won any major hardware in year one, this game shows that he's already become a man of the people, just as Vick did during his time in Atlanta.

In year one, the rookie running back out of Texas asserted himself as one of the top offensive weapons in the NFL, finishing with over 1,400 yards from scrimmage. Now, heading into year two, the hope is that the team's success can match his newfound celebrity status.

NBA star Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks is a beloved player in the city who has formed a close relationship with rapper Quavo, formerly of the Migos, and now it seems Robinson could be the next great athlete to represent the city and its deep musical roots just as Vick did in the early 2000s.
