Falcons OL Chris Lindstrom Recalls 'Really Cool' Bijan Robinson Draft Moment

Falcons rookie Bijan Robinson is making a splash with his offensive line, on and off the field.
In this story:

The Atlanta Falcons drafted Bijan Robinson at 9:00 p.m. on April 27. By the end of the evening, the Texas Longhorns star had won over his offensive line with the click of a button.

"I mean, it was a cool thing - he texted the offensive line when he got drafted. I was like, 'that was really cool,'" Falcons guard Chris Lindstrom told the media this week.

As far as the contents of the text, Robinson kept it concise. But the gesture in itself was enough to leave an impact on Lindstrom and company.

"Just 'happy to work with you.' I just thought that was pretty cool," Lindstrom said of Robinson's text. "I've known him for only a couple weeks, but he's been he's been pretty amazing around the building."

Robinson has picked up quite the buzz around Atlanta since being drafted eighth overall, and his character is just a sliver of what Lindstrom touched on concerning the rookie.

"I mean, he's amazing," Lindstrom said. "When you stand there watching a drill or something like that, where you have like 10 seconds of off time and you sit there and watch and you're like, 'wow, those guys are really good, they're really fast.' So it's like, you see that, and Bijan's great."

When Lindstrom was asked if any rookie had texted him on draft night, he solidified Robinson is a category of his own.

"No, not really. But you get into connections with guys, and guys are great. I think it just kind of really speaks to who Bijan is and everything he's about," Lindstrom concluded.

As the running back settles into his NFL home, he's already separated himself as a special talent and mature mind.
