Can Falcons Guarantee WR Drake London Targets?

After getting inconsistent targets through the Atlanta Falcons' first two games of the season, what should fans expect from wide receiver Drake London?
In this story:

Through two weeks, the Atlanta Falcons are undefeated, but their pass game has been inconsistent, especially when it comes to targeting second-year wide receiver Drake London.

In Week 1, London saw a single target and failed to haul it in, looking like a complete afterthought in the team's offense, but Week 2 was a different story. Against the Green Bay Packers, London led the team with seven targets, six catches, and a touchdown.

So was Week 1 a fluke, or is Week 2? After the game, Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith spoke about the team's target distribution.

"There's going to be somebody different every week depending on who they're trying to take away and what the looks are, and I thought Jonnu had a pretty solid day and, of course, Drake, too,” Smith said.

The disappointment of Week 2 was tight end Kyle Pitts, who was fifth on the team in targets, catches, and yards. After drafting Bijan Robinson, it seemed as though the Falcons had a star trio at the skill positions in Pitts, London, and Robinson.

However, none of them have had consistent usage up to this point in the season. In a run-heavy offense, Robinson has looked like the focal point of Atlanta's offense, but how carries are distributed between him and second-year running back Tyler Allgeier seemingly depends on the matchup as they try to keep both healthy throughout the 17-game season.

There are many mouths to feed in Atlanta's offense, but as long as the team is winning, the Falcons will be well-fed.

The Falcons offense hopes to go 3-0 next week when they visit the Detroit Lions. Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.
