Packers vs. Falcons GAMEDAY Preview: Someone’s 0 Has to Go
The Green Bay Packers are traveling to face the Atlanta Falcons in a battle of undefeated NFC teams.
Both teams are constructed similarly. The Packers are starting Jordan Love for the first season of his career, just as the Falcons have handed the reigns of their offense over to Desmond Ridder in his second season.
In Week 1, Love threw for three touchdowns, going 15-27 on his dropbacks. Ridder, on the other hand, had a completion percentage of 83, throwing for 115 yards and a touchdown in a run-heavy offense with established ball carriers Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon.
As for Atlanta’s rushing attack, it was dominant. They recorded 130 yards rushing with both rookie Bijan Robinson and second-year rusher Tyler Allgeier averaging at least five yards per carry and already look like a more dynamic duo than that of Green Bay.
Who wins this game could very well come down to the defense. Cornerback Jaire Alexander was able to limit D.J. Moore in his Chicago Bears debut, with the talented receiver finishing with just two receptions and 25 yards.
Even more impressive, though, was the performance of Falcons offseason addition Jessie Bates III, who forced three turnovers.
Fans should be in for a treat on Sunday when this NFC battle takes place amongst what could be two division winners, with both teams off to an early lead.
