The Atlanta Falcons (2-2) are attempting to end their losing skid against a surprisingly scrappy Houston Texans team (2-2) this afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

After going undefeated through the first two weeks of the season, Atlanta and their offense have recently hit a wall. Rookie running back Bijan Robinson has been dominant, but quarterback Desmond Ridder and the passing attack have been virtually nonexistent.

Following a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars that left some speculating whether or not Ridder could be benched in favor of his experienced backup, Taylor Heinicke, this game could be critical for Ridder's career as a starter in the NFL.

The good news is that Ridder and the Falcons are undefeated at home this season. Thanks in large part to the brilliance of Bijan with the ball in his hands, NFL.com recently ranked him as the second-best running back this season behind only Christian McCaffrey.

"Bijan's ability to make defenders miss and break first contact has been exceptional; his +121 rushing yards over expected is second among all running backs," NFL.com wrote.

The bad news is the Texans, led by C.J. Stroud, completely outmatch them in scoring.

Through four weeks, Atlanta has scored 62 points while their opposition has recorded 77 points on their defense. On the other hand, Houston scored 96 points and allowed 79 to be scored against them.

What Stroud has done thus far into the season has been nothing short of historic, taking a team of relatively unknown skill position talent and completely elevating them into contenders for the divisional crown while playing smart football. Stroud has thrown zero interceptions despite throwing the ball 151 times, the third-longest stretch to start a career.

These two teams feature rookies vying for the Offensive Rookie of the Year crown. The teams are both on opposite ends of the NFL's emotional rollercoaster, with the Texans on a two-game winning streak and the Falcons doing the opposite. Still, when both meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Mercedes Benz stadium, one could be walking away as one of the best young playoff contenders in the league.
