Atlanta Falcons Ex Julio Jones Scores TD with Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Commanders

Julio Jones has found the end zone for the first time as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Julio Jones scoring a touchdown is nothing new for Atlanta Falcons fans, but now he is introducing himself to the Philadelphia Eagles faithful.

In the middle of the fourth quarter against the Washington Commanders, Jones scored his first touchdown as a member of the Eagles.

Here's a look at the play ...

Jones is a Hall of Fame talent, as the Falcons know very well. He now joins a loaded Eagles offense led by QB Jalen Hurts, and a wide receiver corps that features A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Jones is 34 and is entering his 13th NFL season after the Falcons made him a first-round draft pick out of Alabama in 2011. Based on what he has done in recent years since leaving Atlanta, there is reason for some skepticism regarding what he might contribute to the defending NFC champ's roster.

Jones has 904 receptions for 13,632 yards and 81 touchdowns in his career, most of those big numbers coming as a member of the Falcons, where he played the first 10 years of his career in Atlanta.

He then spent 2021 in Tennessee with the Titans and last year caught 24 passes for 299 yards and a pair of scores in 10 games with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The 6-3, 220-pound Jones has size and savvy and experience. He also has a trophy case full of honors as he moves to the Eagles (initially as a member of the practice squad) as a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, a two-time first-team All-Pro pick, and a member of the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 2010s.
