Dirty Birds Podcast Episode 24: It's Time To Accept The Greatness Of Michael Thomas

Can't Michael Thomas and Julio Jones both be great at the same time?

Last week, Madden released their annual ratings of NFL players. Most notable for NFC South fans was its analysis of Saints' wide receiver Michael Thomas and Falcons' wideout Julio Jones.

While Thomas is newer onto the scene of prominent NFL receivers, Madden gave him a 99 overall rating while Jones scored a 97 overall rating.

This week, Chris and Brady dive into what to make about these ratings. What other factors could go into these scores besides on field play?

For Falcons fans, these ratings once again ignited the debate of Julio vs. Thomas, but is it time for Atlanta supporters to realize that Thomas is here to stay?

Outside of Jones, Falcons players such as Matt Ryan, Grady Jarrett and Alex Mack rated out favorably by Madden. What other players on the Atlanta roster got a fair rating? Is Hayden Hurst underrated? Is Todd Gurley overrated?

And what about Tampa Bay tight end Rob Gronkowski receiving a 95 overall raying after being out of football for an entire season?

As always, Chris and Brady have some thoughts.

Zooming out from this year's edition, Chris and Brady debate the most lethal Madden player of all time, besides Michael Vick of course, and outline their go-to play call on the video game.

All of this, and so much more, on this week's edition of The Dirty Birds Podcast.
