Falcons Take Heisman Winner Jayden Daniels in Latest Mock Draft
As the Atlanta Falcons have gone through a coaching search in the early portions of the offseason, questions on their quarterback situation have continued to linger. Could they possibly find their answer in the upcoming NFL Draft?
In a recent mock draft released by FanNation, the Falcons are projected to take LSU Tigers quarterback Jayden Daniels with the No. 8 overall pick in this year's draft in an attempt to find their signal caller of the future.
Daniels is the 2023 Heisman winner, and he led an electric LSU offense this season, one that put up 543.5 yards per game and 45.54 points per game in the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers finished with a record of 10-3 after picking up a win in the ReliaQuest Bowl over the Wisconsin Badgers to conclude the campaign.
As an individual, Daniels was even more impressive, throwing for 3,812 yards and a whopping 40 scores. He was also a threat on the ground, leading the Tigers in rushing with 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.
