Atlanta Falcons 'Going to Keep on Chugging,' Says Drake London
Only four weeks remain in the NFL season, and the Atlanta Falcons are locked into a three-team race jockeying for the top spot in the NFC South.
Entering Week 14, the Falcons held the top seed, but after a 29-26 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team fell to third in the division where both teams, as well as the New Orleans Saints, are tied with a record of 6-7.
“We’re not out of it," wide receiver Drake London said. "We have to put up points and do all that. We’re not out of it. We’re going to keep on chugging and try to make our push into the playoffs.”
As fantastic as scoring points sounds, it’s something that’s been easier said than done in Atlanta this season. Among NFC South teams, only the New Orleans Saints have a positive scoring differential this season.
The Falcons have scored the ninth fewest points in the NFL this season at just 251. For context, the highest-scoring team, the Dallas Cowboys, has scored 421 points.

Atlanta has been bad at scoring points this season because of its quarterback struggles. Quarterback Desmond Ridder has thrown nine touchdowns and nine interceptions this year.
Being unable to pass the ball to playmakers like London with consistency has been the main reason this team hasn’t already won the division.
Perhaps next week versus the Panthers (1-12), Ridder will find his confidence in the passing game and help elevate this offensive down the stretch. If he doesn’t, this could be his final season as an NFL starter.
