Moss Fighting Through Injury - Week 16

Despite suffering a shoulder injury in Saturday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss will attempt to play against the Atlanta Falcons on Christmas Eve, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Moss, 26, has helped carry the load for Indy with star running back Jonathan Taylor missing large portions of the season. The former third-round pick out of Utah has already shattered his career-best marks with 764 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the season.

According to Schefter, X-rays on Moss' shoulder were negative, but the team is still waiting to see how he progresses throughout the week.

The Falcons rank towards the middle of the pack in rushing defense, allowing an average of 112.2 yards per game. Whether it's Moss, Taylor or whoever else in the backfield, the Colts will provide a formidable test when they come to Atlanta on Sunday afternoon.

After a week of limited and non-participating practices, the Atlanta Falcons ruled defensive tackle David Onyemata (ankle) out for Sunday's contest against the Carolina Panthers.

The practice squad elevations for Week 15 are offensive linemen Tyler Vrabel and tight end Tucker Fisk as Atlanta prepares to be beleaguered in the trenches.

Saints Make Injury Moves Before Playing Falcons

The New Orleans Saints will be without star cornerback Marshon Lattimore when they take the field Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons - but his absence will extend much further.

Lattimore was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury and will miss at least the next four games. The Saints elevated veteran defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul to the active roster in his place.

Atlanta will host New Orleans in Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 1 p.m. EST Sunday.

Friday Injury Report - Week 12

The Atlanta Falcons will be without starting receiver Mack Hollins for Sunday's clash with the New Orleans Saints. It will be the second straight game that Hollins has missed time for the Falcons as he continues to deal with an ankle injury that held him out of action in the Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Michael Thomas Injured Reserve - Week 12

New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas will miss Sunday's game versus the Atlanta Falcons as he has been placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury, according to a report from Ari Meirov

Thomas will miss at least four games after suffering a knee injury in the Saints' Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Thomas, the former second-round pick, has totaled just 448 yards and one touchdown on 39 receptions while playing in 10 games for the Saints so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tom Pelissero reports the Saints have added receiver Marquez Callaway to their practice squad, while promoting cornerback Cameron Dantzler to the 53-man roster, filling the spot left by Thomas.

Derek Carr Concussion Protocol - Week 12

New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr may not be ready to return this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons.

After suffering a concussion in the team's Week 10 loss against the Minnesota Vikings, Saints coach Dennis Allen told reporters on Monday that Carr remains in the league's concussion protocol.

If he were to remain there for Sunday, it would be Jameis Winston starting against the Falcons at 1 p.m. ET at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Taylor Heinicke Injury - Week 10

The Atlanta Falcons' quarterback carousel has continued in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, as starter Taylor Heinicke has departed early with an injury.

Heinicke completed eight of 15 attempts for 55 yards and a touchdown while adding 34 yards on four scrambles through three quarters of action. The injury was officially labeled as a hamstring problem. Heinicke walked off slowly under his own power.

Desmond Ridder, who started the first eight games of the season, has replaced Heinicke with the Falcons trailing 22-17.

NFL Probing Falcons on Bijan Robinson Health - Week 7

The Atlanta Falcons didn't list any injury designation for rookie running back Bijan Robinson. Yet, the No. 8 overall pick was dealing with an illness and was limited to just one carry for three yards in Atlanta's Week 7 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL is asking the Falcons injury-report compliance questions. If the Falcons are found to not report any injuries, they could face discipline from the league.

The Falcons received positive news on receiver KhaDarel Hodge, who suffered an ankle injury in the second preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals and missed multiple weeks thereafter. Hodge was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday and is evidently good to go.

The same can't be said for Patterson, as he'll have to miss the season opener after being a limited participant throughout this week. Atlanta elevated running back and kick returner Godwin Igwebuike from the practice squad, likely with the idea of mimicking Patterson's responsibilities.

Hughes' status entering the week was uncertain as he was battling a hip flexor injury, but he wasn't listed on the injury report entering the day.
