The Atlanta Falcons have missed the playoffs for the past six years and the franchise is tired of falling short.

That's evident by the signing of Kirk Cousins, the league's top free agent quarterback, and the hiring of Raheem Morris, who led the Los Angeles Rams to the playoffs last season as the team's defensive coordinator.

A lot of expectations will be placed on the Falcons to succeed, but Bleacher Report believes it's reasonable to have those expectations, giving them a goal record of 10-7 for the 2024 season.

"The Falcons were in the NFC South race last season despite poor quarterback play and a defense that was below average," Bleacher Report writes. "This season, the offense should climb to above average numbers, the defense should aim to be in the average range, and the Falcons should be real contenders to win the division."

The last time the Falcons won 10 games, they made it all the way to the NFC Divisional Round, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles on their path to winning the Super Bowl. Morris was on the staff as Dan Quinn's assistant head coach, and the hope is that having him back in the building can lead the Falcons back to where they want to be.
