The Atlanta Falcons have made another move on the NFL's first day of legal tampering ahead of free agency.

According to NFL Network, the Falcons have agreed to terms with punter Bradley Pinion, bringing him back to Atlanta after a solid first season together.

Pinion is expected to sign a three-year contract worth $8.65 million with $4.325 million guaranteed. It's a front-loaded deal with $3.5 million guaranteed this year.

The 28-year-old Pinion is now the eighth highest-paid punter in the league.

But according to special teams coordinator Marquice Williams, Pinion brings much more to Atlanta.

"He's not just a punter; he could kick off, he can actually hit field goals - he's done it in games before," Williams said. "He's a leader both on and off the field, and he's just an overall good human being, a good person, leader of men."

Williams added that the Falcons considered all of these things before signing Pinion last offseason and said "we're very happy to have him in the building."

Now, Pinion is set to be "in the building" for the next three years - and Williams sees a considerable benefit to having a familiar face return.

"It helps create continuity in that room when it comes to all three of our specialists being able to operate at a high level, whether we're talking about the punt operations, snap and punting, or even field goal and then with our kickoff team," Williams said. "So, you can see that having that continuity and having that stability in that room with the punting position really helps us on multiple phases."

The Falcons previously re-signed long snapper Liam McCullough, and with kicker Younghoe Koo locked in for the next several years, will have "continuity" in the game's third phase for the forseeable future.
