The Atlanta Falcons are adding to their wide receiver room, turning a familiar foe into a friend.

According to ESPN, the Falcons are signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller to a one-year deal.

Miller, who turns 26 in July, was a sixth-round draft pick back in 2019 but he made his mark in the Buccaneers offense. His best year with the Bucs came in his second season back in 2020, where he caught 33 passes for 501 yards and five touchdowns, all while helping Tampa win its first Super Bowl in 18 years.

Miller proved to be a popular target for Tom Brady in his first season with the Bucs, but his production diminished over the past two seasons. In 2022, Miller caught just 23 passes for 185 yards.

Now, Miller joins the Falcons, a team with opportunities for new wide receiver options. The team will likely still have second-year pro Drake London atop the depth chart with fellow free agent acquisition Mack Hollins at No. 2, but Miller could fixture into the competition as the starting slot receiver.

There's a good chance the Falcons will likely spend one of their draft picks on a wideout as well, but whoever that is will have some veteran pressure from Miller for playing time.
