Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Top 10 TE?

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts made the cut in CBS Sports' list of the top ten tight ends in the NFL.
In this story:

During the 2022 season, the Atlanta Falcons established themselves as one of the top rushing teams in the NFL, ranking second in the league with an average of 159.9 rushing yards per game.

On the other hand, the Falcons experienced considerable setbacks in their passing game, particularly due to a notable decline in the production of tight end Kyle Pitts compared to his rookie year.

Despite his impressive performance of 1,026 receiving yards in 2021, the Florida product only accumulated 356 receiving yards in 10 games before suffering an MCL tear during the 2022 season.

After a challenging year, Pitts' status as a premier tight end in the NFL has suffered a decline. However, in a recent article by CBS Sports ranking the top ten tight ends, Pitts managed to secure a spot. The article does not rule out the potential for Pitts to make a leap in the rankings in the near future.

"If he can rebound from this injury and Atlanta throws the football more with second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder, it wouldn't be surprising to see Pitts return to form and look more like a top-five tight end. In the meantime, we'll keep him at 10," CBS Sports writes.

Training camp will play a crucial role in establishing a strong rapport between Ridder and Pitts, setting the foundation for their chemistry in the 2023 season. As Pitts aims to exceed 1,000 receiving yards for the second time in three years, their joint efforts and preparation will be essential for achieving this milestone.
