Falcons Trade for QB in Latest NFL Mock Draft

The NFL Draft could feature some trades, including ones involving the Atlanta Falcons.

The Atlanta Falcons sit in a precarious spot with the No. 8 pick in this year's NFL Draft.

It's the third year in a row the team is placed with that selection, but with quarterback on the team's mind, they may not be able to get the most value at the pick by staying where they are.

That's why NFL.com has projected a trade to move up to No. 4 with the Arizona Cardinals to select LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.

"Atlanta pounces before another team moves up for the Heisman Trophy winner’s services," NFL.com writes. "Daniels brings dual-threat electricity to the Falcons’ offense under new head coach Raheem Morris."

Daniels could certainly be the spoon that mixes everything altogether in Atlanta's offense. After three straight years of drafting high-profile skill players, the Falcons could look to get someone who can activate all of them towards becoming the best versions of themselves.

This past season at LSU, Daniels threw for 3,812 yards and an eyebrow-raising 40 touchdowns. He was also a threat on the ground, leading the Tigers in rushing with 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Daniels measures in at 6-3 and 200 pounds, and he is a native of San Bernardino, California, where he played for Cajon H.S. There, he was a four-star recruit, and he originally enrolled with the Arizona State Sun Devils before transferring to LSU later in his career.

Now, he could be staying in the southeast as potentially the next franchise quarterback for the Falcons.
