Falcons 'Must Address' WR; Trade Incoming?

Finding an elite pass-catcher has quickly became a staple in NFL front office offseason moves.

Just take a look at Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, who has been coined as the most likely non-QB to win MVP this season. Or the ongoing frenzy to land free agent DeAndre Hopkins. 

For the Atlanta Falcons, not only did they revamp their roster with offseason signings, but also addressed a big need at the receiver position. 

However, ESPN believes landing another receiver should be Atlanta's sole objective between now and Week 1 of the regular season. 

"The team's depth chart beyond Drake London is currently led by Mack Hollins and Scotty Miller," ESPN writes. "While the Falcons ran the ball on the highest percentage of plays in the league last year (51.1% of offensive plays) and have two possible stars in London and tight end Kyle Pitts, they simply must address the receiver spot with either someone already available or someone who could become available."

Hollins, spent last season on the Las Vegas Raiders and posted career-highs across the board - finishing with 57 receptions for 690 yards and four touchdowns. 

While Miller, a sixth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019, spent his first four career seasons there before signing a one-year $1.2 million deal with Atlanta in March. 

Despite the Falcons appearing to be all-in on a run-heavy scheme, landing some extra receiving help couldn't hurt second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder or this youthful core.
