Falcons Reveal Training Camp Dates as Arthur Smith Recaps 'Productive' OTAs

Training camp is next on the schedule for the Atlanta Falcons, and the official dates of open practices have been released.
In this story:

The Atlanta Falcons are set to wrap up mandatory minicamp Thursday, bringing the early portion of summer workouts to a close and starting the countdown to training camp, when the 2023 season really gets going.

And while only so much can be done with pads not in the picture and rookies still in the early stages of acclimating to the professional level, Falcons coach Arthur Smith believes this phase of offseason workouts was successful.

"Been very productive," Smith said. "You set out a clear objective when you start the spring - for what we wanted to accomplish, we feel pretty good about where we're at. The next couple weeks are critical; how we handle it can determine a lot of factors, especially early on in camp and early part of the season.

"When you have the right guys like we do, I'm very confident. But in terms of the spring, very pleased."

Now, all eyes turn towards training camp - and the countdown clock has a set finishing date, as the Falcons officially released their open practice dates on Wednesday.
