Falcons vs. Bears GAMEDAY: How to Watch, Betting Odds
The Atlanta Falcons hit the road this afternoon in a snowy game against the Chicago Bears.
After a midseason three-game losing streak, Atlanta has won three of its last five and is currently on the outside looking in at the playoffs. After a brief stop at the top of the NFC South, losses to Tampa Bay and Carolina dug a hole that the Falcons might not be able to dig themselves out of.
At 6-9 and fourth in the NFC North, the Bears have never really been a factor in the playoff picture, although they're not technically mathematically eliminated yet. Even with a win, their playoff probability increases to just one percent according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
Atlanta's rookie running back Bijan Robinson needs just 87 yards to break the team rookie record for scrimmage yards of 1,332 set by Williams Andrews in 1979. Robinson leads the team with 873 rushing yards and seven touchdowns including four on the ground. His 48 receptions are already a team record for a rookie back.
Bears quarterback Justin Fields enters the final two games of the season with his future as uncertain as Chicago's playoff hopes. He's 21st in passer rating and 28th in completion percentage in his third year at the helm with the Bears. Fields' recent passing performances have been less than stellar, completing just 15 of 27 passes last week for 170 yards after throwing for just 166 yards the week prior.
