Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons GAMEDAY: How to Watch, Betting Odds

The Atlanta Falcons have their eyes on a division title and a playoff appearance as they return home today against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Atlanta Falcons are back in action today when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to town.

With three of the final five games within the division, the Falcons can set themselves up for their first playoff appearance in six years.

“We haven’t stacked three wins in a row," quarterback Desmond Ridder said. “We’ve got to be able to keep our head, come back home and be able to go out and get a third win.”

The Buccaneers - who have managed just two wins in their last eight contests - still have an outside chance at winning the South for the third year in a row, but a win over Atlanta on Sunday is most likely necessary.

With a win, the Falcons would essentially lead Tampa Bay by three games with just four to play. “Divisional games are already important," Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield said. “But where we’re at, it’s extremely important for us.”

During their modest two-game winning streak, the Falcons haven't allowed an opposing touchdown. “Each and every one of these games is a playoff game for us,” linebacker Bud Dupree said.

The Falcons are playing meaningful games in December for the first time in five years, and coach Arthur Smith is loving it. “We're not doing victory laps,” Smith said. “But it's another huge game, right? That's what you want to be in."
