WATCH: Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson Scores TD vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Atlanta Falcons needed a big play - and running back Bijan Robinson provided it ... and then did it again one snap later.
Faced with a 3rd and 4 and already facing a 19-10 fourth quarter deficit in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder dumped a pass to Robinson.
Some 33 yards later, Robinson was deep in Buccaneers territory, giving Atlanta the ball on the Tampa Bay 3-yard line.
The next play, Robinson took an inside handoff to the endzone, trimming the Falcons' deficit to 19-17.
Here's a look at Robinson's touchdown ...
Robinson was succinctly mobbed by his teammates in the back of the endzone.
The rushing score marked Robinson's fourth rushing touchdown in his decorated rookie season, all of which have come in the past six games.
Robinson entered Sunday's game with 159 carries for 756 yards while adding 35 receptions for 266 yards and three more touchdowns through the air.
He was enduring a difficult outing against Tampa Bay prior to his two-play breakthrough, now sitting with 10 carries for 34 yards and five receptions for 54 yards.
Buccaneers vs. Falcons: Atlanta Takes 25-22 4Q Lead
Robinson's on pace to set Falcons rookie records in rushing and all-purpose yards, delivering on the expectations set when he became the highest-drafted running back since 2018 at No. 8 overall this April.
Atlanta, seeking to maintain sole possession of first place in the NFC South, entered Sunday knowing the stakes - and Robinson, despite a slow start, delivered when needed most.
