'Cut Loose!': Falcons' Zac Robinson Reveals Offensive Philosophy
Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson has yet to coach his first game for the team, but he already knows what he wants his unit to look like.
During his introductory presser on Wednesday, Robinson shared his vision for the offense to give fans a sneak peak of what the unit will look like come September.
"The biggest thing is we want to play fast. We want to by physical. We want to be aggressive at all times," Robinson told reporters. "Like I said, we just want these guys to cut loose and go play ball. That’s going to be at the forefront of it at all times."
Some may write that comment off as generic coach speak, and with how many coaches have said something similar, it's easy to understand why. Still, the prospect of an up-tempo offense should be exciting to Falcons fans.
Atlanta's offense ranked near the middle of the pack in terms of plays per game last season, and while Arthur Smith tried to pick up the pace at times, it wasn't as fast as many would've hoped.
The Falcons have the personnel to play fast if they want to, especially if/when they get a new quarterback this offseason. For Robinson, it's just a matter of tailoring the offense to fit the players' strengths.

"The things that we're going to strive for is that it's always going to be about these players," Robinson said. "And how we can provide the most clarity for those guys to just cut it loose on game day."
