Houston Texans DE Will Anderson Jr. Reveals Atlanta Falcons Challenge

"The challenge for us is to stay consistent, and it's all about us at the end of the day and what we do," Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. said about facing the Atlanta Falcons.

The Atlanta Falcons host the Houston Texans this weekend and they will get their first taste at No. 3 overall pick Will Anderson Jr.

While C.J. Stroud has captured the spotlight with his record-setting performance to start the season, Anderson has impressed as well with 15 tackles and a sack through four games.

Now, Anderson faces a test with a Falcons offense hungry to grab a win after two consecutive road losses.

"The challenge for us is to stay consistent, and it's all about us at the end of the day and what we do," Anderson said on "DeepSlant" earlier this week. "If we go out there, and we do our job, we have great preparation throughout the week, we can have the same results on Sunday. So, I think it just falls back on everyone playing their technique, playing the defense, playing the offense and going out there and executing what the coaches ask us to do."

The Falcons, like the Texans, are also 2-2. However, Atlanta's offense is vulnerable, averaging 4.6 yards per play which ranks 26th in the NFL. In the last two games, the Falcons have scored just 13 points with their lone touchdown coming against the Jaguars on a 15-yard pass to wide receiver Drake London — in London.

In four games, quarterback Desmond Ridder has been sacked 16 times, presenting an opportunity for a defense that is tied for 26th with seven sacks on the season.

The Falcons and Texans kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
