Justin Fields Rumors: Falcons Follows on Instagram Signal Trade Coming?

What does Justin Fields' social media activity mean for the Atlanta Falcons and trade rumors?

The Atlanta Falcons are the premier team to watch in the Justin Fields sweepstakes this offseason.

The Chicago Bears could look to trade Fields as they hold the No. 1 overall pick in a stacked quarterback rookie class headlined by USC signal caller Caleb Williams. However, they could also keep Fields, who has improved year over year with Chicago.

Many are speculating that Fields will be traded to his hometown Falcons, but only for speculative reasons ... nothing imminent. Among those reasons are Fields' recent Instagram follows.

Fields reportedly unfollowed the Bears Instagram account, but who does he follow? Falcons offensive stars Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts and Drake London.

But does this mean Fields is definitely a Falcon? Of course not.

He's also following several players around the league, including Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs. Does this mean he is going to the Lions? We'd probably say no.

Social media can offer smoke, but that doesn't always mean there's fire. It also doesn't mean there isn't something brewing there, but all we can do when it comes to social media is speculate.

Vikings' Kirk Cousins to Falcons in Free Agency?

Look for the Fields saga to take shape after the NFL Combine next week when the Bears get an opportunity to talk to the top picks, including Williams. The Falcons will also have a chance to interview Williams and the second tier of rookie quarterbacks, and then Atlanta can make the best decision for themselves as well ... whether it's Fields or a rookie or someone out of left field.
