Vikings Could Cut WR Adam Thielen; Falcons Interested?

The Atlanta Falcons could be looking to sign a new wide receiver. Could two-time Pro Bowler Adam Thielen from the Minnesota Vikings be the answer?
In this story:

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen could be a free agent for the first time in his 10-year career.

According to ESPN, the Vikings and Thielen could be headed for a divorce after 10 years together. That would allow Thielen to sign with any team looking to bring him into the fold.

For a team like the Atlanta Falcons that needs a receiver, Thielen could be an ideal fit.

Thielen ranks fourth all-time in Vikings franchise history in receiving yards behind Cris Carter, Randy Moss and Anthony Carter and can still be effective as a receiver in his 30s.

While Thielen may not be the same receiver he was in his prime back in 2018, he played a strong role as the complementary piece next to Justin Jefferson the past three seasons.

Should he come to Atlanta, Thielen would play a similar role next to second-year pro Drake London. Adding Thielen to the receiver corps in Atlanta would give Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder, or whoever plays under center, another weapon to throw to alongside London and Kyle Pitts.

There's a chance Thielen may wish to sign with a team that is closer to a Super Bowl berth than the Falcons, but if he wants to play a large starting role in 2023, there may not be too many teams with a better fit than Atlanta.
